I am 20 years old trying to finance a car from a dealership that cost around 16k. I am planning on putting a 4k down payment. With the taxes and govt fees the total cost of the car should be about $18,500. I am going to get my mom that has excellent credit as a cosigner to try to bring down the interest rate down, I am trying also to try to pay no more that $225 a month for 60 for the car because I still have to pay insurance . According to a car affordability calculator i can afford a car no more than 18k. Will i be able to get a auto loan for a car of 16k because I only make about $800 a month but no bills so the car is the only thing i would be using it for.

I have had prenatal checkups and bloodwork and stuff done, but my mother-in-law in paying out of her pocket for everything. But are NEW drivers OVER the age of 25 still starting at +43%? Or the day you turn 25, you go from +43% to 0%... because that doesn't seem likely, but that is how the majority of people explain new driver's insurance. Also what is the average yearly deduction rate? I would assume around 2% on average? ***The +43% is based on ICBC's website (They said that is what ever driver starts at) ***It is +43% of whatever insurance you chose for your age, etc, and then 43% ADDED on, correct? I am about to get my first car ! but i have to wait until the guy at the car lot gives me the ok to pick it up but I was wondering about insurance do I get the car first and then get the insurance or vice versa? because what if something happens and I would get pulled over do I just say I just got the car and the insurance is about to start up? thanks in advance.

HELP! With Car insurance??????

OK so I lost my license because I got caught driving without insurance in September 2010. I just passed my test today. When I'm checking the quotes, the cheapest I have managed to find was 7400 for 1 year. That is for a 1.1L Peugeot 206 Insurance group 3. They can't expect me to pay that much for insurance for 1 year, I will need a mortgage for that. Does anyone know how much insurance will increase by after getting 6 points? I'm 20 BTW!

Car insurance for occasional use?

My question is this... I want to get a motorbike so that I use my car less often (a bike is cheaper to run). Are there any companies (in England, UK) who offer car insurance for occasional use only ('pay-per-use' style??)? I would like to commute to work each day on my motorbike and only use the car once a fortnight. This would be good for my pocket (what with the credit crunch effecting our lives) and also good for the environment (less fuel used). Ideally, I would only use a motorbike, but really do have to keep the 4 wheeled alternative as I have my 2 daughters once a fortnight. Could anyone please help me answer this question. I have car insurance on my 2010 ford focus. When i signed up with them they never asked me about my title. it does have a salvage title but they never asked me if it had one or not. I have been insured with them for approximately almost 2 years with A+ plus driving history. I had some small damage that has been done to my car by a citizen of whom I have no idea but that scratch the sides of my vehicle with I guess the key or some type of odd objects. I put a claim in to have my car to be looked at and to have them to pay me the value of what my vehicle was worth. I've been paying full coverage since the day I started with them. when I put the claim in is when they discovered that it had a salvage title. Theey did send me a check for the amount of damages. this is an out of state check so its not able to be cash immediately. I have two questions I would like to ask. 1. are they able to put a stop on this check. 2. the retention department has been calling me what is the retention

well im from London, 17 years old and will be 18 in about 1-2 months and i should have my full license by end of summer. I've been looking to buy a VW Golf 1.4 S mk4 as first car which is group insurance 4. I just checked on GoCompare for quotes but its giving me 6.5k per year for third party! WTF? and i tried on under my dad's policy quotes (frontin) and it only droped by about 250 quid... so about 6.25k. Why is it so high? do these prices sound right for group insurance 4?? i mean i know im young and i might give boy racer image to them but wow... if it doesn't sound right what am i doing wrong? what things does drop the quote? i put stuff like locked in garage an anything i could think of.
