So I'm currently upside down on my auto loan and I was wondering if anyone has information as to trading it in for a cheaper vehicle. Basically I'm INSANELY overpaying for my car, I know this. I have a vehicle with an 14% rate. I purchased it at $19K and due to my interest rate, according to the paperwork on the 72 month finance it will land up being $31K I have paid. I was wondering is it possible to trade in my vehicle for a vehicle worth maybe $5,000 or so? Will this work out and how will I calculate my payment?

Ok so I live in California I'm going in for my behind the wheel drivers test on 8/17/09. My dad just bought a used car for me off a lot (July 31, 2009) to use and it's registered until July 2010. The problem is the car has no insurance. Well I found a quote for insurance online from Progressive for $114.00 down today for six months worth of insurance. Would that besufficientt for the test?
